  • The dataset comprises macronutrient (nitrate, nitrite, phosphate, silicate, ammonia/ammonium) data collected on RRS James Clark Ross cruise 11 around South Georgia and the Maurice Ewing Bank in the Southern Ocean. The data were collected between 01 January and 27 February 1996 as part of an integrated ecosystem analysis. They form part of a more extensive dataset collected over 30 years, between 1980 and 2009, by the British Antarctic Survey.

The data were collected between 01 January and 03 March 1994 as part of an integrated ecosystem analysis. They form part of a more extensive dataset collected over 30 years, between 1980 and 2009, by the British Antarctic Survey.

The data were collected between 26 November and 18 December 1992 as part of an integrated ecosystem analysis. They form part of a more extensive dataset collected over 30 years, between 1980 and 2009, by the British Antarctic Survey.

  • These data were collected during the period of 27/11/2020 and 18/11/2022 from the Heraklion Coastal Buoy station North of Crete. The dataset is comprised of samples collected and analysed under specific dates from this station while being part of the European project: "JERICO S3 (Joint European Research Infrastructure of Coastal Observatories: Science, Service, Sustainability)".

  • Repeat hydrography, as organized through the GO-SHIP network, is fundamental for detecting trends and variability also in the Mediterranean Sea. The Mediterranean component of GO-SHIP is MedSHIP, and TAlPro is the western Mediterranean component. The TAlPro2022 cruise consisted of 26 full depth hydrographic stations crossing the Tyrrhenian Sea from north to south, then the Algero-Provencal Basin from south to north. Here the postcalibrated bottle file data are made availiable. Postcalibration has been done by measuring dissolved oxygen and salinity on water samples collected by the rosette. The dataset contains also all chemical variables, measured in the lab.

The metadata elements have been further processed (refined) in EMODnet Ingestion Service in order to conform with the Data Submission Service specifications.

  • Basic biogeochemical parameters obtained from the GLICE cruise in Disko Bay (August 2022), either analyzed at sea or preserved and returned to GEOMAR for analysis.

  • Samples were collected during the “Acoustics along the BRAzilian COaSt (ABRACOS)” oceanographic campaigns, carried out in Austral spring (30 August - 20 September of 2015 - ABRAÇOS1; Bertrand, 2015) and fall (9 April - 9 May of 2017 - ABRAÇOS 2; Bertrand, 2017) on board the French R/V ANTEA. Spring 2015 and fall 2017 are representative of canonical spring and fall conditions in terms of thermohaline structure and currents dynamics (Assunção et al., 2020; Dossa et al., 2021).  Nutrients (nitrite NO2, nitrate NO3, phosphate PO4 and silicate Si(OH)4) have been determined on seawater samples collected using Niskin bottles at different depths during the cruise. Up to 12 samples were collected at each station, depending on the station depth. Samples were collected and "pasteurised" (ie heated at 80C for 2h30 in an oven) to ensure their stability until the analysis was performed at the laboratory. The nutrients analysis has been achieved using the classical colorimetric method (Technicon analyzer).
